Uno Rules

A site that where you can find the official Uno rules

The rules to Uno are simple and below you will find the official Uno Rules.

The Uno Rules are pretty simple to learn and to apply. The game is from +7 years and can be played by 2 to 10 players.

The goal of the game:

The card game UNO is about getting rid of all cards. The player that does this wins the game.

How to play UNO?
Each player is dealt 7 cards. All other cards are placed in a pile on the table face down. This is called the draw-pile.

The top card from the draw-pile is drawn and placed next to the draw-pile. This is the discard pile. It is then up to the player to start putting either a card of the same number, suit (color), or special card (read below). The next player, in turn, must then follow suit, denomination, or again play a special card. If you do not have a card to play, you have to pick up a card from the discard pile. If you still can't play a card, your turn is lost, and you have to wait until it's your turn again.

Special cards

Reverse card. A Reverse card turns the direction of the game counterclockwise or clockwise.

Stop card. With a stop card, the player can block the net player in line. If more stop cards are added, more players skip.

Draw 2 card. The Draw 2 card with the "+2" written on it forces the player to pick up two new cards from the deck. Their turn also forfeited.

Wild Card. These cards can be played on any card on the table. The player who played the card then selects a valid new color until the color is changed.

Wild Draw +4 card. These cards may only be played if the player cannot place any card that matches the card's color on the table. The difference here is that the player, in turn, is forced to pick up four cards from the deck and loses their turn.

Note! If a player uses the Change Color Draw 4 card but has other cards in his hand that he has been able to play, the player must draw four extra cards if challenged and caught.

How to win?
The goal is to get rid of all the cards but to play the last card, you must remember to shout "UNO!" as soon as you get rid of your second to the last card. If a player forgets to say UNO, they must draw two cards from the deck if that fact is pointed out by another player.

Points in UNO

When a player gets rid of all his cards, you add up the points the other players have left on the hand as follows:

  • 0 to 9 - the numeric value of the card
  • Draw 2 cards - Twenty points
  • Stop card - Twenty points
  • Reverse card - Twenty points
  • Wild Card - Fifty points
  • Wild Draw 4-card - Fifty points

You can either give the points to the winning player or exclude players as they reach a certain amount. In this way, the number of players decreases, and one player wins.
